Our 7 self-catering properties have been thoughtfully designed from distinctive granite farm buildings originally built in the nineteenth century. With modern comfort, whatever the weather, we guarantee you will be warm and comfortable. Our British weather is not all it could be, so we feel it is really important that guests can enjoy a day indoors if it's too wet to go out. Moretonhampstead, our small local town, has a good range of places to eat and drink. There are also a small supermarket, excellent butcher and delicatessen, a POST OFFICE, independent grocer and a newsagent. Moreton also has an award winning Information Centre,which is well supplied with maps, books, leaflets - and you can buy a gift to take home.
Back here at Budleigh if you are feeling energetic you can play table-tennis,or use our outdoor heated swimming pool (summer months only).
Budleigh has facilities for archery and a centre of excellence for target shooting. These are serious sports, and punters need to book in advance.
Walking is big in the area, and our own Moreton Ramblers Club welcomes visitors. They have organised guided walks on a regular basis, with extremely knowledgeable guides. Join in and talk to the locals - there's no charge A great attraction of the area is the wildlife, with buzzards, badgers, squirrels and foxes among visitors' favourites. A family of woodpeckers can often be seen from the Studio, Flexi and Link, which overlook the paddock garden. Budleigh is a good central spot to stay in Devon, as many attractions and places of interest are within easy reach. Our nearest city is Exeter, which has a magnificent cathedral.
