Richard and his daughter both a rare disease called Myelodysplastic Syndrome MDS. The only cure for this blood disorder is to have a bone marrow transplant. Rosalind already has a donor lined up and is under-going chemotherapy prior to the transplant. Richard has that to come if he can get a donor, in a few years. See their BLOG

The Cottages with the shared courtyard Fowlescombe is a large mixed organic farm in the South Hams region just 2 miles south of Dartmoor. It is the central part of what was once an important mediaeval estate. The ancient field pattern and network of hedges is still present and it is now farmed in an environmentally sensitive way - wildlife habitat being the top priority. The farm, has arable land and grassland on which we keep pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Devon Ruby Red cattle along with rare breed sheep, goats, pigs and chickens.

A lovely fieldwith wild orchids Fowlescombe is perfectly situated for access to the wild and rugged beauty of Dartmoor National Park, and yet within only a few minutes drive of the lovely South Devon Coast. We provide a ideal base for touring and walking, and are within ten miles off lovely towns such as Kingsbridge, Salcombe, Dartmouth and Totnes. The farm provides the opportunity to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the enchanting South Devon countryside with its rolling landscape and extensive wildlife throughout all 4 seasons
